A team of archaeologists uncovered the limestone burial slab which is believed to have covered the tomb of Jesus Christ over 2000 years ago. In the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jersusalem, the tomb of Jesus Christ has been kept for centuries.
Just recently the tomb was reopened and the burial slab’s original surface was removed by a team of conservationists for the first time since 1555. They had 60 hours to explore before the tomb was resealed and it took them hours to find anything.
Finally, they came across a marble slab with a cross carved in it. They believe this to be proof of the slab laid across Jesus’s tomb when he was buried.
